SJWD Water District is Excited to Announce the Construction of our New 5.0-MG Finished Water Storage Reservoir in Lyman, South Carolina!

As a key component of SJWD’s long-term Master Plan, this project represents a significant investment in strengthening the reliability, resiliency, and long-term sustainability of our drinking water system. This project was partially funded through a grant administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Community Grant Program.

Once complete, the new reservoir will provide the following benefits to SJWD and its customers:

  • Increase treated water storage capacity
  • Enhance fire protection and emergency preparedness
  • Support future growth throughout our service area
  • Improve operational flexibility and system reliability during peak demand, maintenance activities, and emergency events

This project also supports SJWD’s continued commitment to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality drinking water to its customers while proactively preparing for the future needs of our community.
